Frequently asked questions
Playing
What is Baby Lenny?
Baby Lenny is a game where you raise a virtual baby, Lenny, and teach him to talk. You play the parent. Every day brings 6 new words, and after teaching them you can talk to Lenny with the words he has learned. There are 8 days of lessons (48 words) today, with more on the way.
How do I teach Lenny a word?
Open "Today's Words" and start teaching. Each word is a short lesson made of a few steps. Depending on the step you:
- show Lenny an object — a cookie, an apple, a puppy, a ball, a ring…
- make a gesture — smile, wave hi, give a kiss, point at your nose…
- say words by tapping them on the word keyboard.
Lenny reacts with his face, voice and gestures, repeats the word and remembers it.
I'm stuck on a step. What are tips?
A tip is a hint that tells you what to do in the current step. You get 2 free tips every day. If you want more, tips packs (3, 10 or 30) are available in the in-app shop.
Why do I have to wait until tomorrow for new words?
Lenny learns 6 words a day, like a real baby taking his time. The next words unlock the following day. If you don't want to wait, "Grow up Lenny" in the shop (1 day or 3 days) unlocks the next days' words sooner. You can also tap "Notify" to get a reminder on the day the next words unlock.
What is "Talk to Lenny"?
After you finish a day's words you can talk to Lenny: build sentences from the words he has learned and he answers. Lenny has moods and feelings — he can be happy, sad, insulted or comforted — so how you talk to him matters. His replies are generated by a small AI model that runs entirely on your device; nothing you type is sent to an AI service.
Does the app use my microphone or camera?
No. Baby Lenny never uses the microphone or the camera. You "say" words by tapping them on the in-game word keyboard, and gestures are chosen from buttons. There are no ads either.
Saving your progress
How do I save my progress?
Create a Lenny ID: open the ☰ menu → Lenny ID → Sign Up and sign in with Apple. It's optional — you can play without it — but it saves your progress to your account so it isn't lost if you change or reset your device.
How do I move Lenny to a new iPhone?
First make sure you have a Lenny ID on your old device (☰ → Lenny ID → Sign Up). Then install Baby Lenny on the new device, open ☰ → Lenny ID → Log In, and sign in with the same Apple account. Your Lenny is restored with the words he has learned.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, open the ☰ menu → Lenny ID → Delete Account and confirm. This deletes your account and its cloud data, and the game on your device starts over at day 1. It cannot be undone.
You can also email info@humanvirtual.co and ask us to delete your data — for example if you no longer have the app installed.
Purchases
Is Baby Lenny free?
Yes, it is free to download and play. There are optional in-app purchases: "Grow up Lenny" (1 day or 3 days), tips packs (3, 10 or 30) and a cookie for Lenny. You never have to buy anything to keep playing — new words unlock every day and you get 2 free tips daily.
How do I get a refund or fix a billing problem?
Purchases are processed by Apple, and we never see your payment details, so refunds are handled by Apple too. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account and choose the purchase you want to report.
I bought something but didn't receive it.
Make sure you are connected to the internet, then close the app and open it again — a purchase that was completed is delivered the next time the app opens. If it is still missing, email info@humanvirtual.co with the item you bought and the date, and we will sort it out.
Notifications and devices
How do reminders work?
Reminders are optional. When you tap "Notify", the app asks for permission to send notifications and schedules one reminder on your device for the day the next words unlock. If you declined the permission earlier, or want to turn reminders off, go to your device's Settings → Notifications → Baby Lenny.
Which devices are supported?
Baby Lenny is made for iPhone (it also runs on iPad in iPhone mode). The minimum iOS version is listed on the app's App Store page.
Is Baby Lenny for children?
The game is suitable for all ages (rated 4+ on the App Store), but it is not made specifically for children: the player is the "parent" who raises Lenny. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data.
